Hi, my name is Sheila White and I'm fundraising for someone very special to me, my son Chris Ferguson. Chris is 35 years old with a beautiful family, his Fiance Amanda, and four beautiful children with one on the way.

In 2019 Chris went for a routine checkup, the doctor diagnosed him with High Blood pressure, They put him on medication for it, and started running routine testing to see why. after many texts, they discovered Chris was in Kidney failure. He was at stage 3. They immediately started him on medication and talked with him about a kidney transplant.
With each visit, they are failing even more. Today he is at stage 5. They are only functioning at 10%. If they get 8% he will have to go on dialysis 4-5 days a week. Chris got the news a couple of months ago that he is a candidate for the transplant list. He has been accepted and is now waiting for a donor. Some cases take up to 10 years to receive a donor, Chris doesn't have 10 years to wait.

Chris has always been an independent person and never would ask for help, So I'm asking for him,

A little about Chris, Chris works hard every day for his family, and today is still working, he has had the stress on him of taking care of the household and working and trying to keep his health up too. He is definitely not a quitter, that is not an option for him. He has raised his two children on his own for 10 years, and done it very well, has a beautiful fiance and two bonus daughters, and they are expecting a little boy in January, his family is his life. So giving up is not gonna happen, he just needs a little help.

No mother wants their children to be in pain or need anything, but this is beyond my ability to make things better for him so I'm reaching out to our family, our friends, and anyone willing to help out this beautiful person I call my SON.

As time goes on his health is declining, and he doesn't know how long he'll be able to continue to work. he is worrying himself sicker not knowing how he'll support his family. Please open up your hearts and be tested, and help my baby. If you don't feel comfortable being tested, maybe someone you know would be, please share his story. If you can donate to help with his medical bills and everyday expenses, it would be greatly appreciated. If you can't we understand, just please pray for my son and his family.

If you or anyone you know would like to be tested visit: emory.donorscreen.org to complete the living donor screening questionnaire, after completing the donor questionnaire, if you are eligible to continue in the process, you will receive an email from the Emory Donor screen outlining your next steps
If you have further questions or concerns contact 855-EMORY-TX (366-7989).

Thank you for taking the time to read my son's story and if you can donate please it would be greatly appreciated and all donations will go toward his medical and/or living expenses.

Thank you!
