53PiecesOfGlass, as we all have come to know them, are a wonderful DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) system who are fighting for their life right now.

They currently have gastrointestinal issues preventing them from keeping down enough fluids or nutrition to sustain them. They have had a feeding tube for four years now; firstly a nasogastric tube, then a nasojejunal tube. This is a tube that bypasses the stomach and goes into the intestines to assist with feeding. However, due to having the tube for such a prolonged amount of time, their throat and esophagus cannot physically tolerate it and are rejecting it. thus holding them back from progressing with physical and mental healing.

The New Zealand health system refuses to place a PEJ to help their nutrition, and they are currently seeking to get a PEJ done in Australia. A PEJ is a tube that does exactly the same as the NJ tube but goes directly into the abdomen, so the throat doesn’t have to have the tube anymore.
Some funds have already been raised, however, an additional $5,000 is urgently needed for the surgery and associated medical costs.

As you may have seen from their Gofundme, they are raising funds to pay for their PEJ placement. The wonderful Tarese and Co (Tarese Epere) are donating a couture, one-of-a-kind handmade gown to help complete the raising of the final funds.
