Union Pines Teacher,  Assistant Basketball, XC, and Track and Field Coach, Tony Wilson, was involved in a serious car accident on the night of Tuesday, October 21st. While Coach Wilson was waiting to turn into his driveway he was rear ended, which pushed him into oncoming traffic causing him to get hit a second time. Coach Wilson was airlifted to UNC Chapel Hill due to the extent of his injuries and it was discovered he had multiple spinal fractures in his neck and back. Coach Wilson underwent a successful surgery to repair the damage and is expected to make a full recovery, however the road to recovery will be a long one. We are hoping that you will participate in this 50/50 raffle to help financially support the Wilson family during this time so Tony can focus on healing and recovering and not worrying about the medical bills. The money that is raised will be split 50/50 with the winner of the raffle and the Wilson Family. Tony and his family are pillars of our community. Tony has a contagious smile and personality that lights up any room he steps into. Tony pours his heart and soul into the youth of our community through coaching and mentorships, and we are asking for the community to help him and his family during this difficult time.
