Hello! We are the West Virginia University Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society. We are partnering with an exchange student from South Africa to give away a once-in-a-lifetime trip to South Africa to one lucky winner and their guest. This trip will include African wildlife excursions and beautiful scenery while staying in luxurious South African accommodations such as the Molori Safari Lodge, Zimbali Coastal Resort, and the Moledi Gorge. All accommodations are complimentary, you would just be responsible for some of the airfare and personal spending while abroad! This prize is valued at $10,000 but it could be yours for just the price of your raffle ticket.

15% of the proceeds will fund the travel costs for your trip and the remaining 85% will go towards training anti-poaching dogs at Paramount Specialised Training Academy. Anti-poaching units serve to protect the endangered African species we know and love such as the rhino. These units rely heavily upon donations such as yours, so you can be assured that your money will be used for wildlife conservation.

This prize will be announced at The 2023 Wildlife Society and American Fisheries Society Annual Game Dinner on April 15, 2023. The Game Dinner is our annual fundraiser with silent auctions, live music, food donated by local hunters and anglers, and more! You will not be required to attend the Game Dinner in order to claim your prize if you win, but we strongly encourage you to join in on the festivities. The Game Dinner will take place at 5 PM at the Clinton District Volunteer Fire Station in Morgantown, West Virginia. Tickets for the game dinner will be available at the door.

IMPORTANT! READ BEFORE YOU PURCHASE YOUR TICKET:

1. 15% of the funds raised for the raffle will go towards your airfare if you win the prize. The more tickets sold the more money that will be allocated toward your airfare. We do not guarantee a specific dollar amount of money towards your airfare, just 15% of ticket revenue. 

2. The winner will be announced on April 15, 2023 at our annual Game Dinner at 5 PM at the Clinton District Volunteer Fire Station in Morgantown, WV. You do not have to be present at the game dinner to claim your prize. However, if we cannot successfully contact you within 48 hours of the game dinner the prize will be forfeited. 

3. The likelihood of winning the raffle is dependent upon the number of tickets sold. The more tickets that are sold the lower the chances of winning. 

4. This prize is nontransferable and must be used by the individual that won the raffle. 

5. This prize must be used within two years of winning the prize on April 15, 2023

6. There will be no cash reward instead of the trip. You must accept the trip or decline the prize altogether.
