In July of 2022, my beautiful mother, Ginny Loescher, passed away from stage 4 Urethral Cancer at the age of 64. She battled like a true warrior for 26 months and made us so proud with her continual positive attitude in the face of adversity. Urethral Cancer is rare, and represents less than 1% of all diagnosed cancers. In memory of my Mom, and to celebrate her first heavenly birthday December 9th, I created a 60" x 60" Homestead Star Quilt (pattern by Plains and Pine), and I am offering raffle tickets, so that the winner can gift this beautiful quilt for the holidays to a loved one. 100% of the money made off of the raffle tickets will be donated to the Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD to fund research into treatments of this horrible disease. The Brady Urological Institute took wonderful care of my Mom, and gave us more time with our beloved matriarch. I wanted a meaningful way to honor my mom's legacy, and to help another family from feeling the tremendous loss from this disease.
