My good childhood friends Rachel and Daniel Cataldo are the parents of Valentina. This year in February they shared with me the difficult news of Valentina being diagnosed with leukemia. To witness first hand the effects this had on her body, morale and livlihood was crushing. Through everyone sharing constant love, positivity, laughs and most importantly her own strength and mental resiliency she is going in the right direction spirits high with the wonderful ongoing help and care from the dedicated team at @bostonchildrens. She is expected to have another year of treatment before remission and in the meantime she is kicking some cancer butt living her best life!! I am so happy to see her gradually regaining inner self and life back while inspiring other kids and adults rising above the struggle and pushing forward full steam! Trying to live up to this true royal princess that she is, I've decided to join the Boston Children's Hospital team and run the London Marathon in Valentina honor in 2023!
