Helping a Junkie in Kneed:
Hey Junkies! Some of you may know me from my many years working at TAD whether that be in retail, my time in our customer service department, or perhaps you remember me from one of our many memorable DWS gatherings. Regardless of whether or not you know me, I am hoping everyone loves a shot at a good old raffle and is down to help a junkie out.
So life has thrown me some curve balls and according to my orthopedic surgeon I am 28 with 60 year old knees from years of gymnastics and genetics. The MRIs showed Grade 4 (final stage) osteoarthritis and I will be undergoing Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) followed by a round of PRP on April 4th. Of course stem cells aren’t covered by any insurances and the price tags is $7,600-7,800, which feels really daunting and sudden. Medical things like this don’t discriminate and always happen at the most inconvenient of times.
Instead of posting a GoFundMe campaign, I was wanting to gather some of my patches, pouches, shemaghs, tools, and my prized Sangin Merlin and to raffle off in hopes of covering some of the procedures cost.
Personal effects and luxuries like my gear will come and go, but my long-term health and happiness are my primary concern right now.
if you feel so inclined to toss a patch or something into the pile it would mean the world to me.
Thank you for reading, for your generosity, and for your community support.
Lots of love & stay adventurous,
Alexi
