Mary and Darin Hunter set up Every Link Matters because they struggled with their own daughter, Emilee's, KBG syndrome diagnosis on February 26, 2019. The charity was created to raise awareness and funds for children who have been diagnosed and their families who need help with medical and therapy expenses.
     Families dealing with rare diseases quickly find out how little insurance pays for the treatments and therapies needed in order to put a child on a successful path.  The funds raised will be used to help families across the country that are need of financial assistance along with raising awareness about the disease.  Often times, KBG is misdiagnosed which leads to treatments and therapies that are not effective.  
     The goal and dream is to save families from all the heart ache, anger, frustration, and tears that come along with diagnosing a rare disease.  Mary and Darin know, first hand, what it felt like to spend night after night at the children's hospital, visiting specialists, and countless doctor visits to be told she will grown out of it.  Turns out, sometimes they don't.
