The Cumberland Skatepark Committee estimate's that there are roughly 1,600 residents in Allegany County Maryland who are passionate about skateboarding, quad/inline skating, BMX, and scooters, but have limited location options to do it safely. We feel that these alternative sports should be supported by a safe, sanctioned location, that will provide youth and young adults the opportunity to engage in outdoor physical exercise, build social connections and develop skills that will be useful throughout their lives. The Cumberland Skatepark Committee is comprised of a diverse group of local volunteers dedicated to this vision, but we need your help. Your donation will bring us closer to our goal. 

Our community is clearly excited to see this project succeed, as evidenced by the support received by city and county officials, along with hundreds of tax paying residents. We are eager to break ground and you can be a part of that excitement by supporting our youth and enthusiasts of all ages through participation in our fundraising efforts.
