Pediatric brain tumors are more common than we think. The American Cancer Society reports Brain and spinal cord tumors to be the second most common cancers affecting children and adolescents, with close to 5,000 children diagnosed each year. Because of their location, some pediatric brain tumors can cause significant long-term impairment to intellectual and neurological function.
Among all childhood cancers, brain tumors are reported to be the leading cause of cancer-related death in children. Nonetheless, current treatment are decades behind medical advances. Each one of us can make a difference by spreading awareness and support groundbreaking research. May is brain tumor awareness month, let’s come together in the race for a cure. The funds from this campaign will be allocated to the Neurobiology & Brain Tumor Program at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. St. Jude is a world class research hospital with many interdisciplinary research teams consistently working in order to annihilate childhood cancer.
Let’s be a part of the solution by supporting research. Together We can find a cure!!
