Hops for Hope is a BEER 5K and St. Charles' BREWFEST

 

The 5K portion is a twist on the traditional 5K! Awarded Top 100 Races in America by BibRave, our 5K is timed and the course is certified, whether you are a serious runner or walker who loves beer, this event is for you. The 5K will start at the beautiful Mount Saint Mary Park in St. Charles and head towards Geneva on the scenic path through Wheeler Park and ends back at Mount Saint Mary Park for the BrewFest!

 

Proceeds benefit Project Mobility's mission to bring adaptive cycling opportunities to the lives of children, adults, and wounded service members with disabilities.

HOPS FOR HOPE IS NOT JUST A 5K & BREWFEST

Each year we host our Adaptive Bike Giveaway at Hops for Hope 5K & BrewFest. We show our supporters firsthand were your donations are going...right in front of your eyes. Over the years we have awarded 9 individuals with their own adaptive bikes and counting. Our raffle will only help us with our mission and changing lives one bike at a time.

Adaptive bikes provide life-changing mobility, strength, self-esteem and freedom. Cycling restores the possibilities to those often told by society that their life is about limitations. Bike costs range from $4,000 to $6,000, depending on the abilities of the individual.

Purchase 1, 2 or 20 raffle tickets! You could walk away with enough beer to last you quite some time all while making a difference in the lives of children, adults and wounded veterans with disabilities, autism and cancer through adaptive cycling.

Cooper is the 8 year old boy who was paralyzed in the Highland Park Shooting. When we read what his Mother wrote we knew we needed to help give Cooper his freedom of mobility back that was violently taken from him on July 4th, 2021. Because of Hops for Hope 5K & BrewFest 2022 we were able togive Cooper his very own handcycle made possible by oursupporters. 

"Cooper has to deal on a daily basis with the sadness and grief ofrecognizing all the things he's lost - all that he used to be able to do athis house, in his community, that he cannot do anymore ... a bike in thegarage that sits idle, that we used to have to fight him to stop ridingeach day... There is no word that we know of that adequately describes the level of pain you feel or that Cooper feels when he sees his bike he can no longer ride or his old soccer jersey... heartbreaking, agonizing, despair -there is just not a painful enough description."
