Our beloved Miss Susan opened NYAB in 2009 with the hopes to bring the arts back to the city of Poughkeepsie and create a conservatory ballet school with a loving and nurturing environment that allows young dancers to thrive emotionally and artistically.  Fast forward to our 16th year in business and Miss Alessia continues to work towards Miss Susan's original mission while expanding on it to truly make the art of dance accessible to more talented youth in the area. Miss Alessia dreams of continuing her mother's legacy while also working more with the community. She is working to do more community outreach projects and arts in education to bring conservatory level dance education to talented young artists who may not have access to a quality dance education. Dance is a powerful art and should be accessible to all. We opened this raffle in hopes to gain more members to our community. All proceeds from this raffle are going towards continuing Miss Susan's legacy and working towards our visions of community outreach and making the arts more accessible in the city of Poughkeepsie.
