For the ninth year, the descendants of emancipated slaves in East Texas will make their way to Geneva to celebrate the message Our Ancestors heard on June 19, 1865: ALL SLAVES ARE FREE!
This fundraiser helps cover expenses related to our three-day "Juneteenth In Geneva" celebration, from Friday, June 16 through Sunday, June 18, 2023.
Our theme this year is "Standing On A Firm Foundation: Faith, Family & Freedom."
SCHEDULE:
Friday: Meet & Greet (Geneva-New Zion Community Center, former New Zion United Methodist Church property, founded in 1868)
Saturday: The Big Day - (Community Center)
Sunday: Family Worship (County Line Church, founded in 1868)
