My name is Tulani Medlock and I just promoted from Anza Trail School and will start 9th grade in the fall. I got a letter stating that based on my academic achievement and demonstrated leadership potential at Anza Trail, my 8th grade social studies teacher, Ms. Miramontes nominated me for this program called the Junior National Young Leaders Conference that is in Washington D.C. later this summer, at the end of July.
PLEASE consider helping me raise money to attend it. I have never been to D.C., and I’m not sure I see myself as a leader yet, but excited for this opportunity to learn.
Although I am working for my mom’s Lei business and doing odd jobs to earn extra money too, my goal is to raise as much as I can of the $4000 (tuition plus airfare and travel costs) to keep my family’s costs down.
