This handmade Shiner quilt raffle was created to help support two students pursuing educational opportunities in herpetology, conservation, and veterinary medicine.
Funds raised will help support study abroad and internship experiences in Kenya and Thailand, where Aiden and Madeline will gain hands-on experience working alongside reptile professionals, veterinarians, researchers, and animal care teams. These opportunities provide real-world training that helps prepare them for future careers working with reptiles, wildlife, and exotic animals.
Aiden, a sophomore at Oklahoma State University, will be traveling to Watamu, Kenya this summer for an internship at a snake farm working alongside reptile professionals and researchers. As president of the OSU Herpetology Club and a member of the Cowboy Marching Band, he stays actively involved on campus while pursuing his passion for reptiles, conservation, and venom research.
Madeline is a rising senior at Shiner High School and will be traveling to Chiang Mai, Thailand through Loop Abroad for a veterinary-focused study abroad experience. She will work alongside veterinarians and animal care professionals caring for elephants, wildlife, and companion animals while gaining hands-on experience in conservation and veterinary medicine.
Every ticket purchased directly supports these educational experiences and future career goals.
