Shorefront is a history organization with a social justice mission to collect, preserve, and share the stories of Black individuals who have lived, sometimes invisibly, in Evanston and throughout Chicago's suburban North Shore. Shorefront is the only organization with this mission.
Shorefront was founded in Evanston in 1995 by Dino Robinson. Shorefront's archives serve as a valuable resource for understanding the complete picture of our community's history.
Shorefront Legacy Center will use the proceeds of the raffle tickets and any other donations to support our work building and collecting our archives as well as educating the community about Black history.
