We are a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization and a Working Poor Tax Credit in the State of Arizona. This is our Third Annual Summer Rifle Raffle to help homeless Veterans in Flagstaff, AZ. UBSA and Berg's Free BBQ search the shelters, the streets and mountain campsites for homeless Veterans to help them get a hand-up, instead of a hand-out, at our Transitional Facility in Flagstaff Arizona. They come to us with almost nothing...sometimes just the clothes on their backs. We provide shelter, food, clothing, access to medical help, training, support and jobs in a warm, family atmosphere . Basically, we help them find whatever they need, to once again rejoin us as healthy and vibrate members of American Society.
Twice a year we run a Rifle Raffle to help us cover the expenses it takes to serve these forgotten heroes. And since we have no paid staff, only a volunteer work force, funds that come in can go directly to help our homeless Vets.
Please help these men and woman, and by a ticket or two!. They have served us... it is our turn to serve them!

Past Winter Winners: Our first prize winner was Diane Ortiz....and what a story. She bought her ticket yesterday the very last day of the raffle sales at Cal Ranch. They were visiting from California and going back Tuesday. SHE SAID SHE HAD NEVER WON ANYTHING BEFORE! Here she is with our UBSA Veteran Executive Director John Hoyt. He told he had never won anything before and he brought his lovely girl friend Kaileigh Koons with him ( she bought a ticket, too!) to pick up his prize!
