Help Us Help Them!!!
Ok, so here is the deal, United Brothers and Sisters in Arms (UBSA) is an emergency services organization created to help the immediate needs of homeless Veterans, who's donations have been devastated by COVID 19 and we need your help!

We are Think Jesus Project, a 501c3 Non-Profit, Public Charity, and a Working Poor Tax Credit in the State of Arizona. Every Sunday, since 2005, rain, shine or blizzard, never missing a Sunday, we have fed the less fortunate of Flagstaff, at our outreach Berg’s Free BBQ.

Well, about 7 years ago we noticed more and more veterans coming through our food lines. First a couple, then a few, then 10, 20, 30 homeless veterans and it just didn’t make sense to us. These men and women fought for our country. They allowed us to live in a country, with all the freedoms we have been blessed with,  while they wrote a blank checks with their lives, and now they were having to stand in line for a meal (albeit a good one) at our free community out-reach.

So, we got together with few of the Veteran volunteers we work with and we came up with a plan. And that plan was UBSA ( United Brothers and Sisters in Arms is the longer version and the name you can find us under on Facebook). So now we search the shelters, the streets and mountain campsites for homeless Veterans to help them get a hand-up, instead of just a hand-out!

 You see, these Veterans come to us with almost nothing...sometimes just the clothes on their backs. We provide shelter, food, clothing and access to medical help, training, support and jobs (basically anything to help their immediate needs) in a warm and supportive atmosphere. Sometimes we just provide a ticket home, gasoline for their vehicle or pay to cover them in our Transitional Facility in Flagstaff, Arizona. Yes, we have one of those, too!

  But to do this for them... we have to raise money!

 
  So, twice a year we run a Rifle Raffle, (Yeehaw!!!) to help us cover the expenses to serve these forgotten heroes. And since we have no paid staff, only a volunteer work force, funds that come in can go directly to help us to help our homeless and distressed Veterans. Please help us help them! 
 
  So please buy a ticket or two…or more! There are deep discounts when you buy on-line. And please, pass this on to your family and friends… or anyone else who can help us help them. It is really simple and it is really secure, so go for it… I promise you, you will be very glad that you did!

 
  P.S. We are also selling tickets up close and personal at Cal Ranch Store in Flagstaff every 1st and 3rd weekend until September 7th, so stop by and say hi and see the prizes for yourself.  And Cal Ranch is a great store, so go shop there when you can, they let us raise funds there twice a year!  We have previously sold tickets at the Pro Rodeo, Muddin’ in the Pines, the Coconino County Fair, the Gun Show and many other venues in Arizona that support our Veterans. This year, this raffle drawing will be held on Labor Day, Sept. 7, 2020

  Please remember to thank these men and woman for their service when you see them, and please by a ticket or two!. They have already served us... it is our turn to serve them!
