We are a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization and a Working Poor Tax Credit in the State of Arizona. This is our 4th Annual Summer Rifle Raffle to help homeless Veterans in Flagstaff, AZ. Our outreaches UBSA and Berg's Free BBQ search the shelters, the streets and mountain campsites for homeless Veterans to help them get a hand-up, instead of a hand-out, and place them our Transitional Facility in Flagstaff Arizona. They come to us with almost nothing...sometimes just the clothes on their backs. We provide shelter, food, clothing and access to medical help, training, support and jobs in a warm, family atmosphere. Sometimes, we just provide a ticket home... Basically, we help them find whatever they need to once again rejoin us as healthy and vibrate members of American Society. They have served us and we now need to serve them!
Twice a year we run a Rifle Raffle to help us cover the expenses it takes to serve these forgotten heroes. And since we have no paid staff, only a volunteer work force, funds that come in can go directly to help find, feed and house our homeless and distressed Veterans. Diane Ortiz....and what a story. She bought her ticket yesterday the very last day of the raffle sales at Cal Ranch. They were visiting from California and going back Tuesday.
