Our friend Charlie Ivy, is a true hero. He's a past fire chief, who has dedicated his life to serving his community fearlessly and selflessly. Unfortunately, life dealt him a challenging hand, and he now faces the daily struggle of living with a genetic issue that confines him to a wheelchair. Today, we appeal to your kindness and generosity to help Charlie regain his independence and freedom by providing him with a used wheelchair-accessible van, priced at $67,000. Let us unite and rally behind this man who once protected us all.
Despite his remarkable service, life took an unforeseen turn when Charlie was diagnosed with a genetic issue that led to mobility limitations. The same man who used to fearlessly rush into burning buildings to save lives now faces the daily struggles of navigating the world in a wheelchair. Simple tasks that many of us take for granted have become daunting obstacles for Charlie. However, his spirit remains unyielding, and he refuses to let his circumstances define him.
About 3 months ago, we were able to secure a battery-powered wheelchair to help Charlie's mobility around his property and home. Now we are attempting to expand his mobility. As he strives to live an independent life, a reliable and accessible means of transportation is of paramount importance. With a specialized wheelchair-accessible van, he can regain the freedom to venture out into the world with ease, visit friends and family, participate in community events, and enjoy a sense of normalcy that he so deserves. This van will not only be a mode of transport but also a symbol of hope, a testament to the power of compassion and unity.
In conjunction with this raffle, we are running a GoFundMe and have currently raised nearly $14k. By purchasing a raffle ticket you will directly impact Charlie's life and well-being. Our goal is to raise the $67,000 needed to acquire a wheelchair-accessible van that will change Charlie's life. Every raffle ticket sold will be a stepping stone towards this goal.
