On 16 & 17 December 2023, Comanche Outdoors will host the Inaugural Sgt. Nathaniel S. Rock Memorial Whitetail Hunt. 
 
Sgt Nathaniel S. Rock. Nate was raised in Toronto, Ohio where the streets are lined with American flags and a strong sense of community and patriotism fills the air. The son of Tim and Adriana Rock, and brother to Jared Rock, Tara Rock Lemasters, and Nicole Stewart, joined the Marine Corps in 1997 and served in the 3rd Battalion of the 3rd Marine Regiment (3/3) at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Prior to 9/11 he deployed several times to the Asian Pacific and then returned home to Ohio where he worked part time, along with his brother Jared, as a Law Enforcement Officer. Joining the USMC reserve unit 3rd Battalion 25th Marine Regiment (3/25) out of Brook Park, Ohio, Nate deployed to Iraq as a Scout Sniper in March of 2005. In August of that same year, Nate, along with several members of his Scout Sniper team, was killed in an ambush outside of Haditha while supporting dismounted combat operations. Nate’s passing left a void in his family, and saddened the community who continue to honor Nate and support the Rock family along with the Marines who flock to their town annually in remembrance of him.
