Blue Sky Ranch is a 501c3, located at 8824 S Hydraulic Street in Haysville, KS.  This organization was established in November of 2015.  We believe there is a large, under-served population of fatherless boys.  Our focus is young men between the ages of fourteen and nineteen.  We feel the urgency to stand in the gap for these young men.  However, we do not romanticize the experience of Hope and Healing.  We know it only comes as these teens learn to trust, accept love, know their self-worth, and experience freedom.  This intense process requires months - even years of absolute dedication.   At BSR we pair fatherless boys with trained male mentors who love Jesus - groups of boys are brought together with several men to build healthy relationships of trust.


We believe boys without fathers are missing out on key developmental moments on their way to becoming men.  Becoming a man is understanding true masculine qualities.  These attributes are:  faithfulness, honesty, truthfulness, accountability, knowing hard work, and being able to test strength and fortitude.  At BSR we are able to utilize our facility to interact with young men and offer so many opportunities in the following areas:

  • build lasting trust relationships
  • teach various technical skills:  construction, wood working, auto mechanics, welding, HVAC
  • teach:  power tools, Driver's Ed, outdoor/survival skills, animal husbandry, gardening, camping skills, gun safety, cooking, budgeting, grocery shopping, basic sewing, etc.
  • teach Life Skills through Equine Assisted Learning:  teamwork, conflict management, anger management, problem solving, basic life skills, and leadership skills
  • teach how to apply Biblical Truths to today's life

To understand the urgency of this national crisis in America, one must know where we find the fatherless today:

  • 71% of all HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUTS
  • 90 % of all HOMELESS & RUNAWAY YOUTH
  • 63% of all YOUTH SUICIDES
  • 71% of  all TEENAGE PREGNANCIES
  • 85% of all YOUTH THAT EXHIBIT BEHAVIORAL DISORDERS
  • 75% of all ADOLESCENT PATIENTS IN CHEMICAL ABUSE FACILITIES
  • 80% of all RAPISTS MOTIVATED WITH DISPLACED ANGER
  • 85% of all YOUTH SITTING IN PRISONS

Blue Sky Ranch offers fatherless young men the opportunity to find Jesus, develop authentic relationships of trust with men who love Jesus and love them through mentoring, the teaching of life skills, and training in every area that young men need to become valued assets in their families, churches, and communities.  We are committed to BREAKING the FATHERLESS CYCLE one life at a time.
