indianapolis native Pope Gaskine is a multidisciplinary artist who creates a wide range of two- and three-dimensional works including Expressionistic oil and acrylic paintings, digital art, jewelry, clothing design, and sculpture along with recording music. He credits synesthesia (combining sensory experiences), esthesia (sensitivity to feelings), and his spirituality for inspiring and directing his creative process. He is museum exhibited featured in WE. The Culture an exhibition curated by GangGang for the Indianapolis Museum of Art along with 2 currently running features at the Indianapolis Childrens Museum and other galleries. He also has curated and organized several murals and galleries around the city of Indianapolis bringing light to artist and to the community. In 2021, self taught artist Pope developed a liberating art experience called Esthesia, born from his desire to help people realize we are all masterpiece artists capable of unlocking our creativity and raw talent. Esthesia helps participants of all ages to reflect on intense emotional experiences in their lives as the catalyst for creative inspiration. Pope believes art should provoke thought and evoke emotions.
