At The Hope Raffle Foundation, we’re a small but passionate group dedicated to supporting the unsung heroes of the LA Wildfire Disaster recovery efforts. While large charities and federal grants often take the spotlight, we focus on the smaller, grassroots organizations and individuals who are working tirelessly on the ground to make a real difference.  

From animal rescue and fostering to providing essential supplies, temporary housing, and direct financial aid to survivors, these everyday heroes are doing extraordinary things. We wanted to find a way to not only support their efforts but also reward those who continue to give generously.  

That’s why we’ve created this raffle—a chance to make giving fun, impactful, and life-changing for everyone involved.  

- **Prizes**:  
  - **1st Prize**: $500,000 USD  
  - **2nd Prize**: $200,000 USD  
  - **3rd Prize**: $100,000 USD  

- **Tickets**:  
  - $5 USD each or 5 tickets for $20 USD.  
  - Only 350,000 tickets will be sold, so don’t miss your chance!  

- **Chance of Winning**:  
  - With **1 ticket**, your chance of winning is **1 in 350,000**.  
  - With **10 tickets**, your chance increases to **1 in 35,000**.  

  - If all tickets are sold before the 6-week period ends, the drawing will occur within **24 hours** of the final ticket being sold. 
  - If all tickets are not sold within 6 weeks, we will adjust the prize amounts based on the percentage of tickets sold. For example: 
    - If 70% of tickets are sold, the prizes will be reduced to 70% of their original amounts (e.g., 1st Prize = $350,000 USD). 
    - At least 50% of the tickets must be sold by the closing date or the raffle will be declared null and void and any funds from tickets sold will go directly to our partner charities to support their vital work.  

- **Transparency**: Winners will be announced anonymously for security purposes (e.g., “JC from South Carolina”). Full details will only be shared with government authorities if legally required.  
- **Taxes**: Winners are fully responsible for declaring their winnings to relevant state and federal authorities.  
- **Charity Impact**: After awarding the prizes, the remaining funds will be distributed directly to our partner charities, ensuring your contribution makes a lasting impact.  

We’ve carefully selected a list of incredible organizations working on the frontlines of the LA Wildfire recovery efforts. To help with all the paperwork etc we have established a partnership with  Best Friends Animal Society for which we thank them. However, while they will will be recipients of some of the funds, we will be distributing the funds raised to various other worthy groups.

The Hope Raffle Foundation was born out of a conversation between two longtime friends, Maggie and Lisa. Like so many others, they were moved by the devastating scenes of the LA Wildfires and wanted to do more than just donate. They noticed that donations were slowing down due to donor fatigue and the misconception that federal support was sufficient. 

In reality, many families and small organizations still desperately need help. Maggie, Lisa, and a few dedicated friends came together to create this foundation as a way to reignite the spirit of giving and make a tangible difference. 

We’re a small team with no fancy offices or big budgets. Our support staff volunteer their time, and our costs are kept to a minimum—covering only card processing fees and platform hosting costs (typically 2-3%). This means more of your contribution goes directly to those who need it most.

The Hope Raffle Foundation is a registered nonprofit in Delaware, where this type of raffle is classified as **“charitable gaming.”** Our EIN is **23-7147797**, and we operate in full compliance with state and federal regulations.  

By purchasing tickets, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions, including:  
- The potential reduction in prize amounts if all tickets are not sold within 6 weeks.  
- Your indemnification of The Hope Raffle Foundation, its recipient organizations, volunteers, and any third parties assisting in the operation of this raffle against any claims for additional funds or financial compensation, both now and in the future.
