Justin Sims has spent 24+ years serving the people of Leake County and the state of Mississippi as a Law Enforcement Officer.  In April of 2024, he was taken to the hospital for headaches and nausea.  During this time, doctors found a large cancerous mass in his left frontal lobe.  Justin went to M.D. Anderson in Houston, TX for treatment and spent 6 weeks there during May and June of 2024.  Justin spent the next few months traveling back and forth to Houston for checkups.  During the end of November/early December checkups, the doctors found 6 small tumors at the base of the brain.  Justin spent another two weeks at M.D. Anderson undergoing aggressive treatment and is currently undergoing treatment.
