We are raising money to send several college students to the Normandy Academy. The Normandy Academy accepts twelve college students a year to attend its program. The program’s purpose it to teach the students about WWII; to connect them with the generation who fought in WWII; to help them understand the importance of studying history;  and to help them see the personal sacrifices made to fight evil. The program starts at the WWII Museum in New Orleans, then moves on to France where the students visit major battle sites and research a soldier who fought in the war, and ends when they place flowers upon that soldier’s grave. The program can’t fund every student, so we are trying to help two of the accepted students afford to go.
