About Hogs for the Cause Founded in 2009 and based in New Orleans, Hogs for the Cause is a nationally recognized charity focused on supporting families affected by pediatric brain cancer. With over $16.5 million raised, the organization has provided $2.5 million in grants to more than 1,800 families across 47 states, helping offset non-medical expenses during treatment.
They are the premier nationwide funding source for outreach services. In addition to family grants, Hogs for the Cause has constructed 2 "Hogs Houses". One located at the Children’s Hospital New Orleans ($2.55M project) and the other located at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge ($2.25M project)—both are offered at no cost to families.
