What is the Henderson County Wildlife Committee??
The Henderson County Wildlife Committee brings together landowners, conservationists, and sportsmen to address local wildlife and natural resource challenges through education, collaboration, and community-based solutions.
We’re dedicated to promoting responsible land and wildlife management by helping people better understand their environment, identify key issues, and implement practical conservation programs. A major part of our mission is education—with a strong focus on our youth. We believe investing in the next generation is vital to the future of conservation in Henderson County.
Each year, we proudly support and participate in programs such as the Henderson County Farm & Ranch Tour, Hunter Safety Classes, and the 4-H Shooting Sports Program. In 2025, we awarded a $2,000 scholarship at the Henderson County Livestock Show, and we recently launched our first annual HCWC Floral Design Competition, offering scholarships to top youth participants.
Our final and largest event of the year is the 2025 Fall Hunters Rendezvous, a free, family-friendly gathering open to the entire community. Each year features a different theme and educational focus, along with exciting raffles and a huge lineup of prizes throughout the evening. It’s a night of learning, connection, and celebration for all who love the outdoors.
Through all our efforts, the Henderson County Wildlife Committee continues to foster a strong connection between the community and the land—working to protect and preserve our county’s natural resources for future generations.
