The American Legion meets the unique needs of local communities, celebrates all who contribute to something larger than themselves and inspires others to serve and strengthen America.
Thompson Semi-Automatic Sub Machine-gun Raffle Rules
1. limit of 1000 tickets to be sold; numbering 001 to 1000.
2. One ticket per each $20.00 donation.
3. You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of Texas and the United States to purchase a ticket.
4. Ticket sales end when all 1000tickets are sold out.
5. By obtaining a raffle ticket you attest that you are a law-abiding citizen of good moral character, may legally possess the firearm won, have intention of using the firearm only in a legal and safe manner, and will or have already obtained instruction on the safe use and operation of the firearm won.
6. Winning ticket will be drawn when all 1000 tickets are sold.
7. Each information entry must be filled out accurately at the time of purchase by the purchaser. Donations are made and winner is selected using a random number drawing.
8. The organization will determine the winner from the numbered ticket stub completed with the purchase of this ticket. The winner will claim the prize in a timely fashion. The winning ticket holder must make transfer through the American Legion TX Post 425 selected FFL dealer, and in accordance with all applicable laws.
9. At no time will American Legion TX Post 425 take possession of the firearm
involved in this raffle; winners will receive the firearm directly from a FFL dealer only, and applicable laws will apply.
10. American Legion TX Post 425 limits any and all liability to the purchase price of ticket purchased.
11. In the event winner needs or wishes to have the firearm won transferred to their local FFL dealer closer to their residence, shipping and any other additional costs involved with the transfer will be the responsibility of winner, and arrangements must be made directly with the American Legion TX Post 425 selected FFL dealer.
12. Raffle is void where prohibited.
13. All Federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) rules apply.
14. The firearm transfer will be done through a Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealer, and all applicable Federal and State laws will apply, including state laws, for the legal residence of winning ticket holder.
15. Winner will be responsible for any applicable Federal, State and local taxes.
16. Winners must be at least 18 years old to take possession of a rifle or shotgun. The prize is not transferable. The person designated on the ticket
must claim the prize. Note: Tickets should not be made out to children below the age of 18, as they will not be able to take possession of any firearms.
17. Winners may be required to verify that ownership of the firearm won is legal in their state, city or town, prior to taking possession of the prize won.
18. Proceeds of the gun raffle benefit the American Legion TX Post 425.
19. The gun being raffled is number 006 of 250 that were produced.
