To honor the memory of our dear colleague, NYSOTA created the Dr. Yves Roseus Memorial Fellowship. One of Yves' dreams and passions was to create educational, clinical, and cultural exchanges between Haitian and New York occupational therapy students and practitioners. The Yves Roseus Memorial Committee fosters a dynamic partnership between the NYSOTA community and the Faculté des Sciences de Réhabilitation de Léogâne (FSRL) — Haiti’s first academic program to educate Haitian occupational and physical therapists.

Dr. Yves Roseus, OTD, OTR/L, was a proud York College alumnus, educator, and lifelong advocate for occupational therapy. He served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at York, Senior OT at Brookdale Hospital, and held leadership roles with NYSOTA, NYSBOTC, and ACOTE.

Passionate about mentorship and global service, Dr. Roseus helped establish an OT program in Haiti and inspired many through his dedication and vision. His legacy lives on in the communities he served and the countless lives he touched.
