Choose to support this raffle to help fund our team of 13 students apart of the Honduras Water Project. We are fundraising and preparing for a trip to southern Honduras in May 2026 in partnership with World Renew. This World Renew program follows key steps to improve sanitation practices in homes through the installation of pilas (personal water stations), cement flooring, and latrines for households.

El Cedrito is once again the focus community for this year’s water project. Cedrito is poised well for the WASH Project as local construction material is available (stone and sand) and local leaders are already trained in WASH initiatives. WASH improvments provide countless benefits:
 • reduced illness caused by inadequate sanitation 
• improved educational opportunities for children who can now rely on a clean, local water supply for nutrition and hygiene 
• safer conditions for women who no longer need to retrieve water from remote areas
 • empowerment through local governance and a community run water board

El Cedrito is located in southern Honduras, near the border with the Republic of Nicaragua. The main sources of income for residents are related to agriculture, livestock, the shrimp industry, and day labour. One of the challenges faced by this community is a lack of job opportunities; higher-income jobs involve internal and external migration (to the United States of America or Spain). Access to reliable, potable water significantly increases agricultural and economic opportunities, creating a path towards self-reliance
