Walker Park aka the “MCG of the East” hosts a massive number of football games a year.  Accommodating 9 home games for the Seniors, Reserves and U19’s, EFL Senior Finals, 5-6 junior games a week plus Metropolitan Interleague we are talking close to 130 games of football a year.  The ground is considered a showcase with the best surface and facilities this side of Punt Road.
 
Our current goalpost pads are well past their prime and it’s time to upgrade the padding to a standard that the venue deserves.  We plan to purchase a much lighter and slimmer version that are much easier to put up and bring in.  They will off course be “Tigerised” and the club’s yellow and black colouring and Tigers logo will be prominent.
 
Rather than throw the old ones out the juniors will use these on a Sunday at our new second home at Koonung Reserve, which has recently been allocated to us by Whitehorse Council to accommodate our booming junior growth.
 
The new padding is expensive and we are looking to the Mitcham family to help fund the cost.  We will be running a raffle over the next six weeks to help raise the funds.  Tickets numbers will be restricted to a total of 350 and cost will be $10 each, or 3 for $20.  The following fantastic prizes will be offered:
·         1st Prize - $500 Rebel voucher
·         2nd Prize - $250 Rebel voucher
·         3rd Prize  - $100 Rebel voucher
 
With only 350 tickets available this is a great opportunity to win a prize and obviously the more you buy the greater your chances of winning.
