The Friends of the Museum, North Carolina Maritime Museum are thrilled to present the The Rowme Raffle | A Coastal Heritage Fundraiser.

More than a boat — this handcrafted 12'6" Rowme Skiff represents the living maritime traditions of coastal North Carolina.

Designed by Glen-L and built by dedicated volunteers and Maritime Museum staff at the Harvey W. Smith Watercraft Center in Beaufort, this skiff reflects the craftsmanship, education, and community spirit that define our waterfront heritage.

Now, one lucky supporter will take this beautiful vessel home. Every raffle ticket purchased helps support maritime education, preservation, hands-on programs, and community experiences through the Friends of the North Carolina Maritime Museum in Beaufort.

The Prize

  • 12'6" Rowme Skiff


    This handcrafted 12'6" Glen-L Rowme Skiff is powered by a fully electric, saltwater-rated ePropulsion 3HP outboard motor and includes a floating lithium-ion battery and charger. The system can reach speeds up to 10 mph with an estimated range of up to 22 miles depending on operating conditions and speed.


    The hull is constructed from marine-grade Okoume plywood with oak inwales and rub rails, complemented by beautifully finished Sapele seats. Sealed bow and seat compartments provide built-in flotation and enhanced safety on the water.


    Designed for stability and versatility, the Rowme features a wide-bottom hull ideal for lakes, rivers, and inland coastal waters. Whether used for fishing, hunting, exploring shallow creeks, or waterfront work projects, this skiff delivers a timeless blend of craftsmanship, utility, and coastal adventure.
