3-31-20 RAFFLE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Ranger Airfield Foundation has sold the final ticket for the 2020 Piper Cub Raffle. RAF thanks you for entering! We want to take this opportunity to reiterate RAF is an all-volunteer organization. No one is paid at RAF; not a director, secretary, or groundskeeper. We work tirelessly to maintain Ranger Airfield, but we could not preserve it without YOU. We want you to know, because of great volunteers, we kept ticket sales expenses under 3%. That means over $.97 of every $1.00 donated goes to Ranger Airfield. We then take advantage of sales, extra discounts, and negotiated deals at every turn. We are proud of how far we can take a dollar and that will never change at Ranger.
Now, for the fun part. One of you is going to win an AWESOME Cub! It was announced, prior to COVID, that the drawing would be held at an Airfield event scheduled upon selling out or Memorial Day Weekend, whichever occurred first. It is very important to us that people are able to fly/drive-in to watch the drawing. Given the current situation preventing us from having a gathering, RAF directors have decided that we will aim, for now, to draw the winner Memorial Day Weekend. If government mandated gathering restrictions end prior to Memorial Day, we will reevaluate. If gathering restrictions do not end before Memorial Day, we will draw the winner on May 23 without a gathering.
We thank you for your continued support in making Ranger Antique Airfield a success!
Ranger Airfield Foundationis raffling this amazing Piper Cub to raise funds for Ranger Airfield. Proceeds from the fundraiser enable RAF 'to protect and preserve Ranger Airfield' - a public airfield dating to 1911 that is maintained entirely by volunteers.
